The year has started well for pub group, Oakman Inns, who picked up two awards on Thursday night . Ranked for a fifth year in the top 30 of the Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For 2020, they are this year’s highest rated multi-site pub company with the top accolade of three stars. The awards continued to flow at annual The Casual Dining Awards, where Oakman won the annual Sustainable Operator Award for their non-stop effort to become environmentally better in everything they do. The company was also Highly Recommended in The Best Pub or Bar Brand of the Year, a recognition of the results of an effective, well-trained, and highly motivated team and a desire to be the best can have on a business.

Local Pubs Spread Festive Cheer For Children In Horton General & Milton Keynes University Hospital This Christmas
There can be few things more dispiriting for a child at Christmas than being stuck in hospital over the festive period. Local pub group, Oakman Inns, resolved to lift that gloom, and for the last two weeks, has been bringing a little festive fun to those kids.
Each of the 24 pubs has set up a community collection point for neighbours and customers to drop off unwrapped toys, books and other permitted gifts which Oakman’s staff have been delivering to each pub’s local children’s ward in time for Christmas.

Festive Cheer In Oakman Inns’ Results To June 2019
Oakman Inns & Restaurants is delighted to announce their results for the 15* months to the end of June 2019. Oakman’s turnover for the period was £46.7m, an increase in like-for-like sales of 7.3%. Site EBITDA was £8.6m with Group EBITDA £4.2m. Despite inflationary pressures, margins have been maintained, with the average sales per core Oakman Inn running at over £35k net of VAT per week.

The Chairman and Directors of Oakman Inns are delighted to announce continuing strong sales growth for the 13 weeks to June 30th 2019.
The Like-for-Like sales for the quarter were up 4.8%. Total sales were £10,775,947, which represents a 28.8% growth over the same period last year.

Pub group, Oakman Inns, has completed the acquisition of seven freehold public houses with combined EBITDA of £2.8m from funds managed by Downing LLP. The transaction was completed in three tranches with the purchase of two companies Downoak Ltd (The Akeman, Tring, The Akeman Inn, Kingswood; The Crown & Thistle, Abingdon) and Hedderwick Ltd (Banyers House, Royston; The Cherry Tree, Olney) as well as The Globe in Warwick, which was previously held in a partnership.
