Oakman Inns and Restaurants are proud to be partnering with Scannappeal for the inaugural ScannaRide 100, a charity sportive, raising funds to support the Bucks MRI Appeal.

Taking place on Sunday 14th July, cyclists will ride a 100km circular route, which includes a section featured in the 2017 Tour of Britain, starting from The Polecat Inn in Prestwood, the newest addition to the Oakman Inns portfolio. The route will take participants through the beautiful and challenging Chiltern Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, to North Buckinghamshire, as well as into Hertfordshire. Water stops will be provided at two further Oakman pubs, The Betsey Wynne in Swanbourne village and The Akeman in Tring.

As well as all proceeds from ScannaRide 100 going to Scannappeal, participants are invited to play their part in helping support the Bucks MRI Appeal, which is working to raise £1.5 million to fund two state of the art MRI scanners for High Wycombe and Stoke Mandeville hospitals. These will be the first hospitals in the UK to benefit from this ground breaking technology.

This new event for 2019 is limited to 100 cyclists. Every rider will benefit from water and food stops on the route, a BBQ at the finish line at The Polecat Inn, individual chip timing, a web published  results service and a GPS system enabled route. The first 50 registrations will receive a limited edition souvenir cycle top.
