Protect. Restore. Create
Oakman Inns and The Woodland Trust
Only 2.4% of the UK is now ancient woodland; half of this is under threat. The Woodland Trust is the UK’s largest woodland conservation charity and it is their mission to ensure the survival of our ancient Native Woodlands for generations to come. This Spring Oakman Inns took to the woods of Tring Park to clear ivy from the woodland floor to help The Woodland Trust ensure the stable growth of one of the Nations most treasured flowers, the bluebell.
Oakman Inns cares deeply about sustainability and has been a proud contributor to our charity of choice, you may have noticed in our menus that each Pork Belly dish sold donates 25p to the Woodland Trust. Additionally we are delighted to announce our recent Corporate Membership with the Woodland Trust, a commitment whereby we wish to further our support through organised volunteering days and even larger financial contributions. By enjoying a meal or some drinks at one of our venues, you allow us to continue this support and we thank you for this. All we can offer in return is great food, outstanding service and a promise to get our hands dirty from time to time.
