The Journeyman in Gerrards Cross Named Best New Site at The Publicans
Some of the best pub operators in the business were celebrating success at the industry’s leading awards bash in London and the Oakman Group was one of them winning Best New Site in the category.
The awards, which are the biggest event in the hospitality industry calendar, saw hundreds of businesses compete to be named the best across a range of categories, from best employer to best drinks offer.
More than 1,500 people attended the stand-out awards at London Evolution for a night which celebrates excellence across the UK pub and bar scene.
Ed Bedington, editor of The Morning Advertiser, which organises the awards, said: “These awards are the Oscars for the hospitality trade and are the ones to win for all operators in the sector. The judging process is rigorous and fair and we put all our finalists through their paces before picking out our final winners.
“All of the companies shortlisted in the awards are outstanding businesses, so to come out ahead is a fantastic achievement and one to be proud of. It’s not an easy trading environment for the hospitality sector at the moment, but these companies are embracing those challenges and delivering incredible results in spite of the adversity they face, which is wonderful to see.”
