With a history dating back to 1901, several of the buildings’ original features have been sympathetically retained, including the Victorian façade and fireplace in the bar, wood panelling, full-length windows and warm décor. The Akeman is located just seconds away from the centre of town.
With a theatrical open kitchen, open-plan restaurant and atmospheric bar area perfect for arrival drinks. Not forgetting the VIP-style snug area with Bar 10, off to the side as you enter the building, with its own private bar. Venturing outside there’s a beautiful courtyard with an inviting decking area, complete with fireplace and comfortable seating options. This versatile venue serves as a brilliant option for your next event.
