After a substantial yet sympathetic redesign and refurbishment, the new team at Prestwood’s Polecat Inn, led by new General Manager, Damien Hughes, will be opening its doors once again to the public on Friday 12th April and is already taking bookings for Easter Bank Holiday family gatherings.

Following a reception on Thursday evening (26th July) for 450 investors, friends, neighbours and VIPs, the new owners of the Royal Foresters pub in Ascot had an official – and unusual - opening ceremony on Friday 27th July with the help of 14 Royal Foresters who work for the Crown Estate Forestry team caring for the nearby Windsor Forests.

Following a substantial and imaginative £1.9m restoration project, The Four Alls in Welford-on-Avon near Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, re-opened for business on Friday 1st June after the new team entertained 300 guests to a s plendid evening.

The Cherry Tree – named after the town’s legendary Cherry Fair – is a sensitive and elegant restoration and extension of a two-storey, Grade II Listed house, converted from an old, closed residential care home. The opening was marked by the town’s Mayor, Cllr Jeremy Rawlings pulling the first pint at last week’s VIP Party.

The pub company envisaged by Oakman Inns’ CEO, Peter Borg-Neal, ten years ago is proving to be not only resilient in the current market but is continuing to successfully expand its operations. The Oakman vision was the creation of individual, welcoming all-day pubs that embodied their historical values but which operated at the higher standard expected by modern consumers. Hunky Dory Pubs formally opened The Beech House in Solihull – the first since its formation in May of this year. Hunky Dory Pubs is owned in partnership between Enterprise Inns and Oakman Inns. Solihull is the third site to open within Oakman’s fledgling Beech House brand and is the sixteenth within its wider existing stable. The development represents a further evolution of the innovative design features and high-quality product and service for which Oakman has become recognised over the last decade.
